There's a reason this place has been in business for so long, I remember coming here during high school for 5 fried rice and dumpling combos. The other food we ordered was amazing. Not over sauced or greasy like other places we have eaten. Unfortunately we do not live here in Calgary but while we are here visiting family we will be eating here often. The service was so pleasant, prices very reasonable and I loved the small intimate restaurant. We ordered for 3 and could have feed 6 - great value for the money. “ Nice family-run restaurant with wonderful food and reasonable prices! We had pork dumplings, ginger beef, prawns with mixed vegetables, and soy sauce chow mein with bbq pork. The dumplings were fresh and juicy, and the noodles loaded with flavour. The mixed vegetables were super delicious and the prawns were so tender!! The ginger beef was ultra crispy and so tasty, although it was sweeter than I would have preferred. Overall, Sun Island Eatery is a fantastic restaurant and we'll definitely be back! ”
